BEWARE OF IMITATORS

Why should you purchase your Ultra Racing bars through an authorized Ultra Racing dealer? An authorized dealer can save you money by ensuring that you get the right bars for your car. Our manufacturer is based in Malaysia and many of the Ultra Racing bars are specific to Asian car makes and models. A simple inquiry to us will ensure that you buy the right bars for your car. That is what an authorized dealer is supposed to do...inform and educate.

The other thing that many people do not know about are the extra costs you will be faced with at your doorstep if you purchase from a foreign source of Ultra Racing bars...authorized or unauthorized. For example, most products imported to Canada from non-NAFTA countries (like Malaysia) through a foreign seller are assessed brokerage fees, tariffs, duties and/or taxes that are covered by the purchaser NOT the seller. For example, an Ultra Racing bar shipped directly from Malaysia to Canada would be assessed 12% in duties and tariffs PLUS 5% GST on both the product and duties/tariffs PLUS brokerage fees ranging between $5 and $25 dollars. For example, a strut bar that lists for $120 could cost you as much as $166...a difference of $46 in fees and taxes. YOU will have to pay these fees when you receive your bar, NOT the Malaysian seller. Ultra Racing Canada pays all duties, tariffs, taxes and brokerage fees based on our product cost, not the higher purchase price from a foreign seller, because we are importers not exporters. Suddenly, the foreign seller's bars are not such a great deal.

One last thing...There are people who have set up what appear to be Canadian-based web sites selling Ultra Racing bars (for example, they might use a ".ca" domain name). However, the owners of these sites are NOT based in Canada and their products are usually posted in U.S. funds. If the bars are shipped to you from outside of Canada, then expect to pay the exchange rate PLUS the brokerage fees, duties, tariffs and/or taxes. Once again, Ultra Racing Canada is the only authorized distributor of Ultra Racing bars in Canada and, when requested, we do sell and ship to clients outside of Canada, but only if there is no dealer for a client's country or they are not being served by the dealer for their country. At least our clients know what they are buying, and you know that we are real Canadians who pay their taxes.
